Our Story

History

A family-run local, built on Dublin Road

Abbey Lodge McNamees opened its doors overlooking the Royal Canal in Donaghcumper, and has grown into one of Celbridge’s best-loved bars and restaurants. What started as a neighbourhood pub is now a full restaurant, function room and wedding venue — while keeping the same welcome at the door.

Two decades on, the same values hold: fresh food, fair prices, and a staff who remember your name.

Mission

To be Celbridge’s table for every occasion — from breakfast to birthdays.

Values

Fresh food, local suppliers, and hospitality that never feels rushed.

Philosophy

Simple, seasonal cooking done properly — nothing overworked, nothing pretentious.
